Richard Dawkins: Hawaii as a Nursery of Evolution - Nebraska Vignettes #6

Richard Dawkins shows how the relatively young island chain of Hawaii acts as a nursery of evolution as it moves over a volcanic hotspot in the Pacific Ocean, generating new islands. He shows how Drosophila flies have diverged on the different islands, driven by sexual selection. Pokémon: DP Sinnoh League Victors Episode 33 2/2

The Brockster Is In! Season 13, Episode 33 On the ferry ride to Twinleaf Town, our heroes discuss their plans for the future. Realizing that they will soon be going their separate ways, Dawn invites them over to her house first, and everyone happily agrees. Also on the way, the group meets a Pokémon Nursery teacher trainee named Normajean, who is taking care of a group of young, cute Pokémon. Meanwhile, Team Rocket is hot on the trail of our heroes, following the ferry in their submarine. But they get off course when James spies his kind of treasure—a rare bottle cap—amidst a group of Tentacruel. They snag the bottle cap, and the very unhappy Tentacruel chase them right out of the water and onto the ferry, where they collide with our heroes! Ash and Pikachu try to drive the angry Tentacruel off, but Normajean's young Pokémon are poisoned in the attack. Springing into action, Brock attempts to heal the sick and injured Pokémon. The ferry's passengers help him find some medicine, but not enough to cure everyone. Brock gets advice via video monitor from Nurse Joy, who is on her way by boat. She advises Brock to be persistent and do whatever he can to alleviate the suffering of the young Pokémon. Sure enough, Brock's creativity and talent carry him through, and by the time Nurse Joy arrives, the Pokémon are as healthy as ever...and Brock's Happiny, after helping him care for his patients, has evolved into Chansey! Nurse Joy suggests to Brock that he'd be a great Pokémon ...

Vaccines and Brain Development part 1 of 10

CDC officials claim vaccines are safe and effective. Is that true? If vaccines are safe, why did the incidence of autism increase from one case of autism in 10000 American children to one case of autism in 150 American children after the massive childhood vaccination program began? If childhood vaccines are safe, why are 560000 vaccinated children afflicted with autism while nonvaccinated Amish and Mennonite children rarely have the disease? Why has the incidence of asthma, allergies, autoimmune disease, Type I diabetes, and neurologic conditions dramatically increased in vaccinated children? Why do obstetricians give pregnant women influenza vaccines that contain a toxic dose of mercury? Why do newborn children receive Hepatitis B vaccine in the nursery when there is no medical justification for the immunization? Dr. Blaylock's discussion addresses those, and many other, issues. If you are concerned about your health, and the health of your family, you must watch this DVD. This presentation was given at the 2008 Radio Liberty Seminar. Get DVD here www.radioliberty.com

ONE MORE NIGHT - Phil Collins

1985年フィル・コリンズNO.1ヒット『ONE MORE NIGHT』です。 Phil Collins - One More Night , released 1984. Quotation from WIKIPEDIA Philip David Charles "Phil" Collins LVO (born 30 January 1951) is an English singer-songwriter, drummer, keyboardist and actor best known as a drummer and vocalist for English progressive rock group Genesis and as a solo artist. Collins sang the lead vocals on eight American chart-toppers between 1984 and 1989; seven as a solo artist and one with Genesis. His singles, often dealing with lost love, ranged from the drum-heavy "In the Air Tonight", to the dance pop of "Sussudio", to the political statements of his most successful song, "Another Day in Paradise". His international popularity transformed Genesis from a progressive rock group to a regular on the pop charts and an early MTV mainstay. Collins's professional music career began as a drummer, first with obscure rock group Flaming Youth and then more famously with Genesis. In Genesis, Collins originally supplied backing vocals for front man Peter Gabriel, singing lead on only two songs: "For Absent Friends" from 1971's Nursery Cryme album and "More Fool Me" from Selling England by the Pound, which was released in 1973. On Gabriel's departure in 1975, Collins became the group's lead singer. As the decade closed, Genesis's first international hit, "Follow You, Follow Me", demonstrated a drastic change from the band's early years. His concurrent solo career, heavily influenced by his personal ...

Social Distortion - Bakersfield *New Song* - Sokol Auditorium, 9.28.2009

Embarking on a tour preempting the release of a new CD (hopefully early 2010,) Social Distortion made their way back to my neck of the woods. Since my last SD fix was clear back in 2007, I was pretty damn anxious for this show: Prefaced by performances by MC Rut and The Strangers, Social Distortion came out and played for a solid hour and a half. As always, Social D was full of energy, playing old favorites, some rare covers and even blessing us with a few new songs (bringing our anticipation of the new album to a fever pitch!) The show, from the openers through Social D, was definitely one I won't be forgetting. Hopefully through these recordings, you can experience the magic of that night too. I believe this fall tour to now be concluded, but if you get a chance to see one of their shows DO NOT MISS the opportunity. And be on the lookout for their (*hopefully*) soon to be released new album. If the songs that they performed from it is any indication, it's going to be another legendary work!

How Much Does the Ab Coaster Cost?

Through the advent of late night television and infomercials, most people know what the ab coaster is. (It's a sort of weird looking exercise machine that allows you to work all of the abdominal muscles through the same mechanism of hanging leg raises. Basically, you hold onto bars and the seat slides up and down in a J shaped motion, allowing you to isolate your core without having to bear any weight.) What's less known though is how much this machine cost. This article will discuss the cost of both the original model and of the plus model.

The Price Of The Regular Model (Residential) Ab Coaster: This is the model that most people use at home. The company initially offers a $14.95 30 day trial of the machine. If you decide to keep it though, you'll pay about $400, or $399.80 to be more exact. There is also a payment plan option of four payments of $99.95. The company does offer free shipping. You also get exercise DVDs and meal plans with your order. While researching this article, I was able to find a few sources that offered this machine for a decent amount less than the retail price, so it certainly pays to shop around.

The Approximate Cost Of The Ab Coaster Pro (Light Commercial Use): The pro model has heavier steel and more padding. It is also a bit larger. The advertisements for this model suggest using it in fitness studios or in hotel work out rooms. The price on this one seems to vary. As of this writing, this product was not currently listed on the company's web site, but a few third party vendors had it listed on theirs. The average price listed was about $650 - $700. This model seems to be pretty hard to find. Quite a few of the vendors who offered it indicated that it was not currently available.

The cheapest option if you want to use this machine is probably using one at your gym, which would be included with your gym membership. And, if you're able to complete hanging leg raises (where you hang from a bar and lift your knees to your chest) then you're working the same muscles basically for free.

However, many folks (especially women) can not do many (if any) of these hanging leg raises correctly. The coaster does make this exercise possible and easier for the normal person who wants a strong core but is not already a body builder or top athlete going into the process.
