Justice eludes Mexico parents

One year ago, 49 children died in a fire at a state-run nursery in northern Mexico. Scores more suffered burns and smoke-inhalation. The children's parents had hoped Mexico's Supreme Court would help them punish those responsible. But, as Al Jazeera's Mariana Sanchez reports, they are still fighting for justice.

Porch Glider Bench - Perfect For Gliding Through the Memories

While there are plenty of times that you wished you had a simple chair and end table on your front porch or deck area, there are surely more times that you wish that you something a bit more exotic to enjoy. Certainly, if you do not have the space for a large set or even for that hanging porch swing that you have always wanted, you are going to be on the hunt for a piece of furniture that will bring you the same whimsical effect without all of the bulkiness. Having your own glider porch bench might be just what you need to do the trick!

A glider porch bench is a phenomenal piece of furniture that you will be proud to display on your front porch, deck, patio or even your sunroom area. Between the look and feel of one and its incredible design, this is one facet of your outdoor decor that you will never want to live without once you are spoiled with the comfort that it provides. Whether you are looking for a nice addition to your current furniture set or you are just starting a collection of furnishings, this is a wonderful piece that you can enjoy for years and years into the future.

One way to make the porch glider bench that you purchase more comfortable than it already is, is by purchasing a patio cushion for it. A cushion would really take its comfort level over the top because nothing is better than sitting down and having one nicely contour to your body. When buying one, make sure to go with a cushion that is crafted out of materials that can handle the outdoor weather. The best options around are those made from Sunbrella fabric, which is weather resistant, water repellent, and has colorfast that will keep them from fading in the different weather conditions.

You also need to get a porch glider bench itself that is crafted out of better quality materials as well. This is really important if you want the one you purchase to be able to last for any length of time in your outdoor space. One great option is one that is made from mature redwood that is a durable, handsome find for anyone who wants to add something nice to their outdoor living area. A few addition great choices include southern yellow pine, western red cedar, teak, and thicker, denser recycled plastics and polymers.

For a fantastic way to look into the different porch glider bench options that are available, simply go online for some comparison shopping through the different online stores. It is a synch to sift through all the selections since you do not even have to step one foot outside of your home to do it. When you do buy something, it will also be sent right to you, thus, no having to worry about hauling something somewhere.

So, if you want a great place to take it easy in your outdoor space, turn to a porch glider bench. It would be a great investment.

Dwarf Hamster Information

Dwarf hamster information is good to know on a smaller hamster that in size gets between 2 to 4 inches depending on the type of dwarf hamster you get. There are your Chinese Dwarf hamsters, Campbell's Russian hamsters, Winter White Russian hamsters, and Roborovski hamsters that are a part of the dwarf family of hamsters. These hamsters are also known as pocket pets, because of their size where they actually fit in your pocket. You can do this but I would not recommend it unless the hamster has your undivided attention or you may forget that your pet is in your pocket or they could jump out and get seriously hurt.

Dwarf hamsters are a native to the desert areas of Siberia, North China, Northern Russia, and Mongolia. These hamsters are from the wild of the deserts and a part of the rodent family. Over a time period they became domesticated and bred for pets. They are nocturnal animals and live in borrows with many tunnels and chambers. They sleep during the day to avoid the heat and predators. They go out during the evening and night time hours to gather their food and bedding materials. The traits that they have help them to detect food and movement. Dwarf hamsters have expandable cheek pouches to carry food and bedding they do and will travel many miles to get their food and bedding. They are also very fast animals even though they are so little.

More dwarf hamster information to know about is that these tiny creatures do not have good eye sight. They can not see colors but make up in their sense of smell and hearing. They also are very fragile but flexible; their legs are short, fury bodies with a stripe down their back. These tiny hamsters are skittish, easily to escape ones hands or cages due to they are very quick, and they are very delicate due to their size. Their appearance, temperament, personality, and size are unique for each of these different types of dwarf hamsters.

Dwarf hamsters will eat almost anything they find that is edible but it is best not to let them have just anything. This could be fatal if they do not get the proper food or toys for them. Their teeth are very sharp and can chew on or nip at anything, including your fingers, plastic, wood, and their treats and food.

These hamsters can not have a rapid temperature change this will make a very sick hamster and could cause death. Dwarfs are very active pets; they will run in a wheel for many miles each day and if you have a tubular cage set up this little one will keep you entertained for quite some time. Even when they groom themselves it is fun to watch.

These little hamsters make wonderful pets for you especially if you want a pet that is caged and easy to care for. There is a lot of information you will need out there. Just make sure you find all the dwarf hamster information you can to have a healthy, happy and loving pet.

How to Choose a Sugar Glider Cage

If you're going to own a sugar glider, then you will certainly need a cage for it. There are a few things you need to consider before picking out your first one. This article will give you a few tips on how to choose a sugar glider cage.

Height

One of the first things you need to consider when choosing a cage is its height. Sugar gliders love to jump and climb around. Therefore, you need to make sure the cage has plenty of vertical space. Vertical space is more important than the amount of horizontal space. It's best that the cage is at least three feet tall.

Bars

You also need to consider the cage's bars. It's important that the bars are spaced no more than 1/2 inch to 1 inch apart. Wire mesh bars are best as they allow the glider to climb on them easily. If the cage you choose isn't wire mesh, then at least make sure it provides horizontal bars or platforms so the glider can use them to climb.

Material

A sugar glider cage can be made from various materials. If you're thinking about getting a cage with bare wire, you should know that it may irritate your pet's feet. Therefore, get a wire cage that's powder-coated or made from vinyl. They won't hurt your glider's feet and they'll also be easier for you to clean. It's best to avoid cages made from plexi-glass as your glider will scratch it up easily. Also, he won't be able to climb it, so you'll need to provide him with platforms or branches.

Security

Did you know that sugar gliders are pretty smart? Well, they are! You may be surprised one day to find that he has learned how to open his cage and let himself out. Try to find a cage that has a very secure latch that he can't learn to open easily.

Buying a Guinea Pig

The first thing you need to think about before buying a guinea pig is if it's the right choice for you. These tiny little furry animals are adorable but they take a lot of responsibility. If you are a very busy person and will not be able to commit to your furry friend, then you should probably reconsider. First of all, your guinea needs lots of exercise, attention, and caution towards other pets. You will also be responsible for grooming, dealing with any health problems that may approach, and the happiness of your pig. These are just some of the responsibilities you will have if you choose to buy a guinea pig.

Ok, so you decided to buy a pig. There are many options when to buy a guinea pig. Some places to go are animal rescue centers, friends, breeders, pet shops, and even small ads.

Once you bring your new pig home, let it get used to its surroundings. Try to minimize noise and commotion around it if possible. After a day or two try feeding it tidbits out of your hand so it can work on getting used to you. The piggy will eventually become more comfortable around you and you will definitely notice. Once you are ready to try and hold the pig remember it may be very anxious and wiggly but once it knows you and trusts you, it will be happy to be held and not be so frantic. Let your pig run around whether it is in a free open space or a large pin. Don't forget to name your pig. They are animals just like any other.

A recommendation when owning a pet is to do some research so you can better understand your new addition. Whether it is the internet or a book about guinea pigs, these are wonderful sources to check out.

Taking care of a pig can be a task. You need to make sure you have all the proper amenities to take care of your pet such as food, water, cage, etc. You may be wondering what you can and cannot feed your pig so I am going to list items that are good and not good. Guineas love fruits and vegetables. The following is a list of fruits and vegetables they can eat and this consists of red, green, or yellow peppers, carrots, apples, oranges, leafy greens, cucumbers, broccoli, green beans, grapes, bananas, dandelion greens, and strawberries. Now every guinea is different and has different tastes but they generally are accommodated to a variety of foods. There are some foods you absolutely cannot feed your pig and that consists of iceberg lettuce, cabbage, cauliflower, potato peelings, raw beans, shelled nuts or beans, rhubarb, meat or fish, dairy products, chocolate, alcohol, cookies, or bread. If you have doubts on anything, contact your veterinarian. It's better to be safe than sorry. Now that you have the basics for buying and or owning a guinea pig, have fun and enjoy your new friend.

What is Resin Furniture?

For several reasons, resin furniture has become a popular alternative to wooden furniture created for outdoor use. It looks similar to painted wood, but it is much easier to care for. Unlike stained or painted wood that you may have to retouch every few years, resin requires little maintenance. You can clean it easily. Because it is durable, it holds up well to outdoor use.

Natural resin is a solid or semisolid substance that various plants secrete. It may be used to manufacture various products. Resin furniture, however, is made from synthetic resins. The synthetic varieties behave much like the natural ones, and they share some common properties. But the synthetic kind is used mostly for manufacturing plastics. Therefore, consumers concerned about conserving trees may find this class of furniture a suitable alternative. Also, consumers concerned about the constant manufacturing of new plastics should know that poly resin furniture is made from recycled plastics.

These are not your average plastic deck chairs. Check some of the available patio products, and you will find that resin furniture looks similar to painted wood furniture. When you shop for patio pieces to expand your collection, you can find everything from tables and chairs to rockers, gliders, and swings. The furniture comes in a variety of colors, sizes, and styles. Brown, white, black, green, yellow, pink, blue. Adirondack, high back, low back, Mission, Savannah, Nautical. The options are just as numerous as the ones you will find in any other material.

If you've ever cleaned any plastic deck chairs or other plastic furniture, you'll understand why resin furniture is so easy to maintain and clean. A wipe with a damp cloth is all you need to swipe away dust and sticky spills. If the furniture becomes heavily soiled, you can use a hose without fearing that you will damage an expensive wood piece. A little soap and water should suffice for extra cleaning power. Other materials may require special cleaning products. In addition, wood furniture often takes longer to clean and dry. Moisture can't soak into resin furniture.

Wood furniture also requires more regular maintenance. If you have a stained or painted wood piece, you usually have to reapply stain every few years or touch up the paint. If peeling occurs, you may have to sand and repaint the whole piece. This maintenance requires a seasonal evaluation of the furniture's condition. It can also require a considerable investment of time if the furniture needs extensive maintenance. Resin, on the other hand, needs no such retouching or repainting, while you can enjoy the same painted look.

Resin requires little maintenance. It cleans up with minimal effort and time. You can find products in all kinds of styles and colors. The material holds up well to outdoor use. Rain and snow don't cause it to rot like certain woods, chip and flake like certain paints, or rust like certain metals. It's made from recycled plastic. For these reasons, resin furniture has become a popular choice for shoppers of outdoor furniture.

The difference between a glider and a glider swing

High quality wooden garden furniture, handmade is great to start. Match that with the ease and elegance of a glider, and you have the best of both worlds. Rocking chairs and porch swings are all correct, but for maximum comfort, go with a swing or glider. You look delicious, and support you when you need it.

What is a plane?

If you have not yet had the opportunity, just, or even sitting in a glider, then what you lost. This is because the seat is sitting on a screen as on a cloud. Even better, is the most convenient and you never moves Lulling levels of relaxation you never thought possible. Glider rockers are contrary to a seesaw, arches moves changed to a focal point of two base-rocker, has a screen of a solid unit, with one seat, back and forth on a piece of hardware. For this reason, they are less dangerous, because no part ofbasis president ever leaves the ground, while the movement of the rocker in a rocking chair and feet, and tail pinch cat, if you're not careful. This distinguishes them from a glider swing, the base is fixed or not once touch the ground. Also, gliders operate with minimal movement of the legs, so it's less work for you.

But the benefits do not end. Gliders are made for both indoor and outdoor use. Indoor Gliders feature plushPillow, often in ultra soft fabrics such as micro-suede and in different colors. Outdoor Gliders can be as comfortable and attractive, but beautifully carved wooden processed as cedar and teak. You can also find slide reclining chairs, and those with matching stools. This matching stools are often the sailors, that is, the legs can be raised and also in sync with the rest of the body of sailing, so that for the proper functioningpossible.

Okay, but what is a Glider Swing?

To clarify, the umbrella term may fluctuate a bit 'vague, and according to which I ask you, can mean a few things differently. First, there is a swing wing, which is basically like a cross between a normal outdoor screen and a bank. These are free-standing models, similar to normal glider, and it works exactly the same way. The only visible difference is that the wideras a bank, so that the space for two or three people at once.

The following type of swing wing is a bit 'more complicated. This variant has two separate banks as a different face, but work on a fixed length, which connects the two at the base. Often there is a matching cap, that not only shield riders from sun and rain, but also helps to stabilize the device as a whole. These variations are great for social purposes, to maintain for four people in aconfined spaces and all those for sliding motion.

The final version of the Swing-screen is the same as a typical glider, but paradoxically more like a swing. That 's, because it is like to be the second variant, but not running. These fluctuations also have a canopy, but a more useful, serving as a framework for making posts in the head by the vibrating beam. Once again, the drivers facing each other, but vibrate the seats instead of sliding andOne of them has ever touched the ground. The choice of which type of plane swing is right for you depends on a small space and budget, but mostly it is a matter of personal taste.

Used Wheelchair Vans - The Affordable Choice

Usually, a disabled person has to rely on family and friends to drive them to work or to any other location and while their loved ones gladly offer their help, it would be great for everyone if the disabled person has a wheelchair accessible van. A wheelchair van offers convenience in transporting a person on a wheelchair and there are types that can driven by a wheelchair user, giving the person a sense of independence.

Wheelchair vans allow a disabled person who is qualified to drive to become self-sufficient when it comes to transportation. The person can go to the mall, run errands for a family member, or even drive someone to work or to school or to any other place.

However, a wheelchair is expensive. Even converting a vehicle to accommodate a wheelchair can be costly. Fortunately, there are used wheelchair vans that make it possible for a disabled person to afford this vehicle.

To start searching for used wheelchair vans, you can check with car dealers in your area and surf the Internet. An ideal find would be a van that is available at a dealer near you. You may also want to look for used wheelchair vans with low mileage and built-in features such as wheelchair restraints and hand controls.

If it is a challenge to search for used wheelchair vans in your local area, look for dealers that offer delivery services. However, you need to make sure to make your purchase with a reputable vendor to ensure that they will indeed deliver your vehicle. If you are fortunate to find a used wheelchair van locally, ask a friend or a family member to test-drive the vehicle.

Modifications to used wheelchair vans can be done by a local auto mechanic but these vehicles typically will have adequate equipment to accommodate the needs of a wheelchair user. The original owners of used wheelchair vans often have progressive debilitating conditions that eventually lead to the inability to drive with a hand-control device.

Consequently, used wheelchair vans are only about a couple of years old when their original owners had to put them up for sale so many tends to have low mileage. Since the vans are already converted to carry wheelchair users, they are already equipped for use of a new owner.

Used wheelchair vans can also be leased or rented should you have a need for one but unable to make an outright purchase. There are plenty of used wheelchair vans for lease or for rent at affordable rates for convenient transportation of a disable person.

What It's Like to Fly the Beech Bonanza F33/A

First lesson, November 2002; completed Private Pilot Certificate, July 2003; First Aircraft purchase, August 2003; type of aircraft, Beech Bonanza F33A, date of this article, huge smile on my face.

During the final stages of my lessons for the Private Pilot Certificate, I have to honestly say that I spent half of my study time researching airplanes to purchase. My research extended from Cessna 210's, to Saratoga's, to even the Aztec. My conditions were simple, yet hard to fill. I wanted a true 4-5 placed aircraft with speed, range and comfort. After tons of research, I found a '74 Beech Bonanza F33A. 4 adults, true airspeed of 176 kts, full fuel and still room for luggage. Added to this aircraft was the IO-550 for 300 hp, tip tanks for 30 more gallons, GNS 530 with KFC 200 autopilot for navigation and auto-control, WX-1000 for thunderstorm awareness, and gami-injectors for better performance and engine efficiency.

It's quick, it's solid, it's stable and it's amazing. After rotation and gear up, the plane jumps from field elevation to 3000 feet in less than 3 minutes. Once level, the airspeed indicator pushes over 175 knots. Crosswind landings are not much of a problem for the steady and sturdy Bonanza. Landing the aircraft was the biggest adjustment from landing a Cessna. The attitude is more nose down, the airspeed is higher, you aim for the numbers and then pull back and keep it off the ground until the airspeed bleeds off. The trim is anywhere from 9-12 degrees nose up by the time you touch down.

The big difference between the F33A and the A36 Bonanza is the length. The F33A can have an aft cg issue if you aren't careful with the weight and balance. It has a useful load of over 1100 lbs, but you have to keep the big people up front. In regards to comfort, the plane is roomy for my 6' 2", 215 lb. frame. Though the seat is all the way back, it's right where it would go even if I had another two inches to go back. Headroom is no problem either, but if I was 6' 4", I could see it being an issue. However, my passengers (including the front passenger) have no problem reclining all the way back for a catnap.

I was able to acquire an insurance policy with the conditions that I had to acquire my IFR and15 hours dual time with an instructor who had 25 hours in the F33A. The premium of the insurance policy was $6400/annual. OK, it's up there, but it will go down once the policy is due again. Next was the annual, which was due the same month of the purchase. I did an extensive "pre-buy" inspection with the intention that I was going to roll it into an annual. The annual was $4500. I did some non-mandatory maintenance so that I would feel that I was starting with a fresh, new plane. Another annual cost that should be less expensive next year.

Garden Patio Furniture Can Be a Wonderful Addition to Your Yard and Life

My wife was wearing frantic look - the in-laws were coming tomorrow and she wanted to create the perfect first impression. I knew she'd be fine, but she was worried.

"We don't have any garden patio furniture, what will your mom think?"

Knowing my mom I knew all would be well, convincing my wife of that fact was an entirely different matter, seems I was headed to the local home superstore to hunt up some garden patio furniture bargains.

Growing up we lived by the river, and I remember my mom and grandma whiling away the hours, sipping tea sitting in an easy glider on the back porch. While garden patio furniture has certainly evolved over the years, it still has a special place in my heart and can quickly spice up an empty backyard or deck.

When you have a few pieces of garden patio furniture, you'll have more reasons to spend a little time outside, weather permitting of course. And since the days around here are often filled sweet sunshine and lazy afternoons, this is a perfect addition to an otherwise empty deck, or back porch. Once in place, garden umbrella here, garden chaise lounge there, you'll have even more reason to head outside, and enjoy the spring or summer air, chat with neighbors, sip some lemonade or watch your husband (my wife likes this one) mow the lawn. There are multiple varieties of garden patio furniture depending on your budget and design of your yard and home.

If you're already an outdoors type, garden patio furniture will give you the ability for more family oriented activities; barbecuing, sharing time around the fire pit, building up treasured family memories to last a lifetime. Garden patio furniture isn't just for sunny summer days, consider quiet evenings, the buzz of activity in the background, you and yours drifting in a carefree space, perhaps playing a board game, sipping tea and watching the kids as they play nearby.

And least we forget, most of us at one time or another, might enjoy hosting an outdoor party with family or friends, this is just one of many reasons garden patio furniture should find a home, at your home. You'll find yourself sitting outside swapping stories, enjoying the sun and simple camaraderie of friends a treasure you soon can't do without.

Good garden patio furniture is built to weather the sands of time, enduring the rain, but come winter, it might be wise to bring them inside or store them for warmer days. Of course if you're used to or enjoy a cold, crisp fall evening, then by all means spend some time in that garden rocking chairs and let the stresses of the day disappear into the night.

Convinced yet? No, take the time to visit local garden patio furniture stores, and browse through (actually browse on) an assortment you might not even have known existed, you'll find...

Bistro Sets
Cushioned Chairs
Sling Chaise Lounges
Garden dining sets
Garden Bar Sets
and so much more.

As for me, my wife is staring over my shoulder so I need to end this article and head for the garden patio furniture store - the in-laws are coming.

The Versatile Daybed Pop Up Trundle

If you are looking to add some additional sleeping space to your room, the daybed pop up trundle combo is the way to go! You not only get sleeping space for two that only takes up space for one when not in use, but you also have options of where to sleep that second person.

The daybed pop up trundle is the easiest to use of the various trundle options.  You just slide it out from under the bed, raise it to its normal height, and lock it into position.  With a little bit of practice, you can probably do it with just one hand!  No need to flip it all around while opening up the legs like with a lift up trundle unit.  And because it is not a trundle drawer version, you can move the trundle bed wherever it is needed.

Most people think that when you set up your pop up trundle bed that you will put it alongside the daybed itself.  Obviously this is an option, and probably the most preferred one if you are sleeping adults in the daybed.  Simply line the two beds up together and you have the equivalent of a king-size bed.  You can use either 2 twin-size sheet sets or you can use a king-size set.  Then in the morning, strip the bedsheets, lower the trundle bed, slide it back under the daybed, and your room is back to normal.

But with your daybed pop up trundle, you have OPTIONS!  You can slide the trundle out from under the daybed but leave it at ground level ... great for when sleeping smaller children.  Or you can raise the bed and put it anywhere else in the room where it fits better.  Or, you can even put it in another room if you need to.  Just be sure to not pop it up until you have it where you want it as the open trundle bed will be more difficult to move.

If you're thinking about adding additional sleeping space somewhere in your house but are concerned that you really don't have room to dedicate solely to sleeping the occasional guest, a daybed pop up trundle arrangement is by far your best bet.  For the space of one bed, you get two beds ... and you are not even required to sleep both those guests in the same room.  Underneath the daybed is built-in storage space for your trundle bed so you won't even have to find somewhere to store your extra bed.

17 Kids and Counting: Cheaper by the Duggars- Part 2

The episode features the Duggars' frugality in their purchasing. The Duggars do not use credit cards, only debit cards or cash. They purchase clothing from a thrift shop, groceries from Aldi, grow their own vegetables, use firewood (from trees on their property) to heat their home, and even have a recipe to make their own laundry detergent. I do not own 17 Kids and Counting, I am simply a fan. Video belongs to rightful owner, no infringement intended. Enjoy.

THE MUSICAL BOX - Genesis (Chris Lawley covers)

After about 100 hours of work, I am finally finished. Here is my next in the 'Genesis' series. 'The Musical Box' from their album 'Nursery Cryme' from 1971. Forgive me if my guitar(s) are slightly out of tune in a couple of places. I had a devil of a time getting and keeping some of them in tune. I hope you enjoy my labor of love :)
